Beautiful Rovanjska is located in a bay at the very end of the Velebit channel, not far from Zadar. Its proximity to Velebit with its parks, caves, paths and bike routes makes this area all the richer. The Modrič cave is a gem in the foothills of Velebit, and the church of Sv. Juraj (St. George) in the heart of town is a wonderful example of ancient Croatian architecture. Maslenica, a village most famous for the bora wind, offers bungee jumping for adventure tourists. Twenty kilometres further on, there is the canyon of the river Zrmanja, where enthusiasts of rafting can have fun. The road then leads to Velebit, under Tulove grede, and all the way to the National Park of Paklenica and other natural treasures
