Position

MARINA, is a small place, settlement, situates on inland part of the bay, named the same, 12km west from Trogir, 897 people. Shores of the Marina bay are well indented with numerous small coves with sandy and pebble beaches. It is on highway (M2, E65).Inside the port, smaller yachts are protected from the wind. Bigger yachts can be ancored on the end of the bay,south-eastern from capella and south from hill Plokata.

History

Settlement is planned in XVI. Century, year 1495-1500. On the small island in the bay, bishops of Trogir,built: Marina quadrangular tower with console battlements (channel between the tower and the land was filled up with earth in the beginning of XX century),and was renovated in time of candien war 1657-1717, and reconstructed 1971/72. St John's church is built in romanic-gotic style, and in a field,nearby the village, there is the church of st. Luca with armour of family Sobota.

Entertainment and cultural festivities are held in Trogir which is nearby and Split which is also close. Marina,Poljica and Sevid make a riviera and are places with possibilitie of accommodation and quite vacation. Marina Aganahas 140 ties on the sea and 100 spots on land.
