In Kastela near Split hides a tranquil Biblical Garden on the slopes of the Kozjak mountain. The Biblical Garden contains the majority of 110 the plants mentioned in the Bible. A chief monument of nature of the Kaštela Riviera is found in Kaštel Štafilić: a gigantic olive tree, more than 1500 years old. Also, there is a small vineyard containing all local grape varieties in one area of garden. The most famous is Crljenak Kastelanski known worldwide as Zinfandel. Although very appreciated and spread, especially in California, this sort is now rather rare in Kastela. However, it is still cultivated in the vineyard in Kaštel Novi.
