Korčula: Discover the cultural heritage with a City guide
Meeting point: Seafront
Guide Duration: 2:00h

In our guided tour, we will walk through the city and visit its historical and cultural landmarks. Korčula, the birthplace of Marco Polo, built on the foundations of a Greek colony, is a historical and tourist center of the largest island in the Dubrovnik area. It is recognizable for its streets arranged in a fishbone pattern and well-preserved Gothic-Renaissance buildings. Among them, the Cathedral of St. Mark stands out with its rich interior.

Key highlights :

Korčula Town Museum: located in the Gabrijelis Palace, offering insight into Korčula’s cultural and economic past.
St. Mark´s Cathedral: a beautiful Gothic-Renaissance church.
Moreška: a medieval knightly game unique to Korčula.
Korčula Archipelago: around 20 uninhabited islands, with Badija offering beautiful beaches and a Franciscan monastery.
Traditional crafts : stone carving and shipbuilding, which played a key role in Korčula´s history.
