Hvar island, Grablje hill

Walk and discover our heritage:
Hvar, the sunniest Croatian island lies between the islands of Brač, Vis and Korčula. The island is overgrown with typical Mediterranean vegetation. The hillsides are covered in pine forests, vineyards, olive groves and lavender fields. The climate is characterized by warm summers accompanied with many hours of sunshine. With its long and rich history making it one of the most interesting islands on the Croatian coast. Next to natural beauties, the island offers deep cultural Heritage, with remains of different Mediterranean civilizations like Greeks, Romans, and Venetians, each period of time leaving traces on the grounds of the island and ingrained in its history.
We start our hike from Velo Grablje, going towards the south coast. Before arriving to the village of Milna by the sea, we will pass by Malo Grablje an interesting abandoned village that offers an excellent example of life a long time ago. Throughout the tour we can observe the typical architecture of Dalmatian coast and islands with uniquely made stone houses. As we arrive in Milna, we will continue walking along the small path by the sea. After our hiking tour of 3 to 4 hours, from Velo Grablje to Hvar, we will arrive to Hvar, at the touristic centre of the island.
