Krupac lake & Nikšić town: Discover the heritage with a guide

In our guided tour, we will visit historical and cultural sights. Lake Krupac, located just 5km from the Nikšić town, this unique artificial lake, offers to the visitors many interesting and exciting things, especially in the summer months. If you are passing near the Krupac Lake, you can afford an unforgettable day if you stop and stay for couple of hours. Many activities will provide you one great experience and very pleasant moments.
The water of the lake is very clear and in the summer months, its temperature is about 28C, provides excellent conditions for swimming and many great water sports. One part of the lake shore is arranged and it is public beach with restaurant, hotel and beach bar. Krupacko Lake is rich in fish and it is a perfect place for fishing. In this area in July every year, “Lake Fest” festival of rock music attract many tourists, who who like to enjoy in most popular rock bands and musicians.

Although Nikšić area has seen human settlements since antiquity, most of the modern Nikšić is a planned city. Very little remains of the Ottoman architectural heritage, despite the long presence of Ottoman Empire in the area. The city layout visible today still follows the 1883 urban plan commissioned by King Nicholas and designed by Croatian architect Josip Slade.
