Prenj known as Herzegovinian Himalayas, is one of the most beautiful mountain areas of the Dinaric Alps and has an unforgettable natural environment because of its biodiversity. Landscapes ranging from krast and glacier valleys to steep slopes and canyons where rivers flow throughout, in colder months snowy peaks takeover, the landscape proving to be an example of intense and daring beauty. The wild beauty of Prenj, is one of extreme landscapes and spaciousness of territory a reason that makes it an especially attractive place to visit, not only for climbers but any nature lover.The peaks of Prenj are stunning and interesting terrains for hikers who like to observe landscapes streaked with white snow and green mountain pine. The highest peak of Prenj is Zelena Glava (2155m).
The trail takes us through: Konjicka Bijela to Jezerce (1650m). It starts on the valley Konjic Bijela. After about 4 hours of constant uphill and walking through the green forest we arrive in front of mountain lodge “Jezerce” able to host up to 10 people. From here you can go towards Zelena Glava. This hiking adventure includes a visit to Boračko lake. It is a large lake of glacial origin, 20km from Konjic and situated among the heights of Mount Prenj. It is a favourable attraction during summer and a well known bathing location.
