Walk and discover our heritage.
The Island of Lopud is the second largest of the Elfati Islands and is close enough to the city of Dubrovnik to be reached by boat. It is located between the Islands of Šipan and Koločep around 5 square kilometres off the coast of Dalmatia, southern Croatia. On the south-eastern part of the island there is a wonderful sandy beach.
In the 16th century, when the island was more populated than it is today, there were 2 monasteries, 30 churches, and numerous palaces in the ownership of Dubrovnik nobility. Thanks to the mild Dalmatian climate there is around 2,584 sunny hours per year making the island covered in lush Mediterranean and subtropical vegetation where citrus, cypress, palm trees and pines prevail.
On this tour we sail through the Elaphite Islands, we will stop for a walking tour on the island of Lopud and visit the beautiful part of the archipelago, then we will walk from the port of Lopud towards the south coast to enjoy the sandy Šunj beach. We will end with a pleasant walk along the edge of the island upon returning back to the start point.
