Railroad of Ciro, Mostar & Neretva River: Cycle and discover our heritage
Start point: Mostar
The Ćiro railway is remembered in history for its steam locomotives, it passes through the Herzegovinian landscapes starting from Mostar, along the Neretva river, all the way across the Croatian border, ending in Dubrovnik. The construction of this trail began in 1898 and ended in 1901. Today, that path has been converted into a bicycle path.
The cycling tour starts in Mostar. Our first stop is in Mogorjelo, and after Mogorjelo we will visit Čapljina. The excursion continues in the direction of Počitelje, after a short visit to the Old Town of Počitelje and its historical monuments, we will visit Blagaj and the Derviška Tekija, built on the spring of Bunica, above which we climb to the Stjepan Fortress.

Mostar
A city built by the Ottomans along the Neretva River around Stari Most, which connects the banks of the city. Unique in its houses and monuments, the city preserves its Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian character, and drinks everything from the Herzegovinian climate, thus maintaining its famous craft production for centuries.
Mogorjelo
Mogorjelo is a unique archaeological monument from the Roman era, a well-preserved old Roman villa rustica, located in the immediate vicinity of Čapljina, in the southern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This cultural monument belongs to the most beautiful buildings of late antique architecture, and the objects found here originate from the 4th century.

Počitelj
Počitelj is a populated place in the town of Čapljina, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located on the left bank of the Neretva River, on the main road from Mostar to Metković, in the north of the town of Čapljina. Its historical urban center dates back to the 14th century and is a protected national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Blagaj
The medieval Old Town of Blagaj -Herceg Stjepan Kosača dominates Blagaj near Mostar (after whose title Herzegovina got its name), it is located on the slopes of Velež, under the rock where the Buna River springs, framed by the Dervish Tekija. The fortress of Herceg Stjepan Kosača on Hum is a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is one of the best preserved in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
